Aging at Home Support is operated by OnPoint Associates LLC (“we,” “us”). This page explains what we collect, what we don’t, and what we do with it. We’ve written it in plain English, because a privacy policy nobody can read protects nobody.
The short version
We collect very little, and we never collect anything from you without you deciding to give it. We don’t sell information about you to anyone. The care needs checklist runs entirely in your browser — those answers never reach us.
The longer version is below, and it’s the one that legally governs.
What we collect
When you just read the site. Our web host automatically logs basic technical information: your IP address, the type of device and browser you’re using, the pages you visited, and the site you came from. This is standard for essentially every website on the internet, and it exists so the site can be delivered to you and protected from attack.
When you use the care needs checklist. Nothing. We mean that literally. The checklist is a piece of code that runs inside your browser. Your answers about a person’s bathing, medications, or memory are never transmitted to us, never stored on our servers, and disappear when you close the tab. We built it that way on purpose. If you want to keep the results, print them or save them as a PDF — that copy lives on your device, not ours.
When you ask us to help you find private-duty care. If — and only if — you choose to ask us to connect you with a private-pay home care provider, we collect what you give us for that purpose: your name, your contact details, the general location where care is needed, and what you tell us about the situation. We use it to make that introduction, and for nothing else. This never happens automatically, and it never happens because you read a page or used a tool. It happens because you asked.
When you contact us. If you email us, we receive whatever you send: your name, your email address, and your message. We keep it so we can reply, and so we have a record if you write again.
Please don’t send us medical or private details about a specific person unless you’re asking us to arrange care. Email is not a secure or confidential channel, and we can’t give medical or legal advice about an individual situation.
What we don’t collect
- We don’t ask you to create an account.
- We don’t require an email address to read anything or use any tool on this site. Every tool here is free, and it will stay that way.
- We don’t run an email list or a newsletter.
- We don’t use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any technology that follows you across other websites.
- We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Not to advertisers, not to law firms, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
How we handle a request for private-duty care
This is the one place where we share your information — and only ever because you asked us to.
What we share. If you ask us to connect you with a private-pay home care provider, we pass your name, your contact details, the location, and a description of the care needed to a provider we’ve selected. We tell you who they are.
What happens then. The provider contacts you. From that point, you’re dealing with them directly. They are an independent business — we don’t employ them, we don’t deliver the care, and the contract for that care is between you and them. See our terms of use.
What we’re paid, and what we’re never paid for. We may receive a fee from a provider for making the introduction. That fee is for private-duty, privately paid care only. We never accept a fee for referring anyone to any service paid for by Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, or the VA. Not ever, for any amount. This is disclosed on the page where the request is made, not just buried here.
What we don’t do with it. We don’t sell your information to multiple providers. We don’t put you on a list. We don’t pass your details to anyone you didn’t ask us to contact.
You can change your mind. Tell us and we’ll delete what we hold and stop.
Cookies and analytics
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser.
WordPress, which runs this site, sets a small number of cookies automatically so the site functions. That’s all.
We do not currently use any third-party analytics service. We don’t track how you move around the site, and we don’t build a profile of you. If that changes — and if it does, it will be a service that sets no cookies and collects no personal data — we’ll say so here and change the date at the top.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work.

Who else sees your information
A few companies help us run this site and necessarily touch some of this data:
- Our web host, which stores the site and logs server requests.
- Our email provider, if you write to us.
- A home care provider, if — and only if — you’ve asked us to connect you with one.
We don’t give your information to anyone else, except in the narrow case where the law requires it — a court order, a subpoena, or a legal obligation we can’t refuse.
How long we keep things
Emails you send us: two years, then deleted. Care requests: two years, then deleted, or sooner if you ask. Server logs: as long as our host retains them, typically a matter of weeks.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we’ll do it.
Depending on where you live — California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, and the EU and UK all have their own rules — you may have additional rights, including the right to know what’s been collected and the right to opt out of its sale. We don’t sell your information, so there’s nothing to opt out of. But if you want to exercise any of these rights, write to us and we’ll honour them regardless of where you live. It’s simpler than checking.
Children
This site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Links to other sites
We link out constantly — to state health departments, to statutes, to CMS, to Medicare. Once you leave this site, you’re on someone else’s, and their privacy policy applies, not ours.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we change the date at the top. If we change something significant — a new analytics tool, an email list, a change to how care requests are handled — we’ll say so plainly rather than quietly editing a paragraph and hoping nobody notices.
