Questions, corrections, or something we got wrong — I read everything that comes in.
I usually reply within a couple of days.
Before you write
Please don’t send medical or private details about a specific person. Email is not a secure or confidential channel, and I can’t give medical or legal advice about an individual situation. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
If you’ve found an error, tell me. That’s the most useful email I can get. I’d rather be corrected than be trusted for the wrong reasons — and when I fix something, I say so on the page, with a date. Here’s how that works.
What I can’t do
I can’t tell you whether your mother qualifies for a benefit, whether a particular agency is any good, or what you should do about a specific medical or legal situation. I’m not a nurse, a physician, or a lawyer, and a website is a poor substitute for someone who has actually met the person you’re worried about.
What I can do is help you understand how the system works, so you ask the right people better questions. That’s what the whole site is for.
